Overview

Before a storm blew Lily the butterfly to a nearby town, all she knew was the kindness of the farmer who rescued her as a caterpillar. She had never spoken to a cockroach, rode on top of a Sheriff's hat, or faced off with a fierce black crow.
Then Lily learns what makes fire burn forever...

About the Author

Charlie Gibbons grew up in Boulder City, Nevada and started writing in his second year of high school, imagining many worlds outside this small town.
In Los Angeles he spent ten years writing screenplays and gathering experience. During this time, "The Butterfly" and many other stories and ideas were born.
In 2007 he met Lily in a mountain pasture next to a creek with a computer on his lap. The mountain described in the story is Cedar Mountain.
Mr. Gibbons believes in a physical and spiritual utopia, and sees change as the only hope for our future. He believes strongly in the family, and having grown up without one, feels that true happiness comes by ridding the world of its own selfishness. A world safe for children is a world safe for adults.
