The Five Lessons a Millionaire Taught Me for Women by Richard Paul Evans

Easy to understand and simple to apply, The Five Lessons a Millionaire Taught Me for Women is one of the most powerful books ever written about money and essential reading for any woman today.

When Richard Paul Evans was twelve years old, his father fell and broke both of his legs. With no income and no insurance, the Evans family was destitute. At this time a multimillionaire taught young Evans the five secrets to wealth. Evans used those five secrets not only to change his life but that of thousands of others when he wrote The Five Lessons a Millionaire Taught Me About Life and Wealth. An international bestseller, this essential book interweaves those influential lessons with personal stories from everyday people. Evans explains that money should not be the preoccupation of our lives, but instead our focus should be on the principles that free us to concentrate on God, family, and relationships -- life's true riches.

Now Evans has taken years of personal research and coaching to create the perfect money book for women who want a better life. With his classic, motivational voice, Evans offers lessons that are easy to understand and simple to follow. Powerful, proven, and life changing, The Five Lessons a Millionaire Taught Me for Women may be one of the most important books you will ever read.

This is a great "how to" for women in these financially stressed days. Mr. Evans speaks very thoughtfully in his writing and I recommend this book for anyone stressing over their finances these days. Also provides a plan for your future financial planning.

This is a very insightful book. Shared it with family and friends and they are putting the advice to use as well. This type of information should be taught in schools, especially high school. Reading is down to earth and easy to understand and apply. Wish I had know some of this earlier. My husband actually has been doing some of these principles for us for years, but more information is helpful to all. Thanks to the Author.

The thing I loved about these 5 Lessons for Women is that I feel like, "Hey, I can actually do this!". I have been a little bit frustrated or maybe I should say, intimidated, about some financial books but this one not only related to me on a real level as a woman, but I felt like they were things that I can put into action, now. I have learned so much from these five lessons: I now have a nest egg that my husband and I add to each month, I know my net worth, I know how much money we bring in every month and how much we spend (which was surprising how much we were spending on just food alone!!), and I just have a new outlook and committment on my financial situation. I feel more empowered and that I don't have to drown in these hard economic times. I have already shared this book with my mom, sister and girlfriends- it is truly life-changing! I love that Richard tapped into the way women handle and think about money- he was right on! Thank you Richard!! :)

Written by someone from first hand experience, a practical book. Women need to change their mindset so they can be successful and not be intimidated by others' lack of support. I'm looking forward to implementing the steps shared by the author to be able to become financially independant and successful.

When I saw the name Richard Paul Evans as the author of the book "5 Lessons for Women," I knew it would be good even though it was not one of his usual novels. This non-fiction book is a must for every woman. If you follow the five simple lessons in this book, you will have good life skills no matter what the economy is doing. Even I can do this! It is already changing my family's thinking about money around for the better. I read that Evans' is giving royalties from his book to charity----a great example to us all. Thank you Richard!

I love this book! I was one of those girls who was told not to "worry my pretty little head" about money. Guess what? Life happened and it wasn't pretty. I can't tell you how much the 5 Lessons mean to me. The principles in this book have changed my life and made money my friend. And that's saying a lot, as I used to avoid even the thought of it.
This book isn't like any other money book I've read (and yes, I've read a few). It's simple and yet profound--easy to apply and yet powerful. Best of all, my daughters see how I have taken control of our money and are learning from me how to be more powerful women.
Thanks Richard, you're my knight in shining armor. You taught me to ride my own white horse!

I loved this book. It is fast and easy. He makes you believe you can do it. I loved winning in the margins. We don't have debt, but would like to build our "nest egg" and I am excited to use his keys and lessons to do it sooner that I thought possible.

I read this book and then went to read Evans' other book, The 5 Lessons a Millionaire Taught Me about Life and Wealth. The books are almost identical word for word. The only difference that I can see is that the cover is now white and pink and includes 'For Women' on the cover. I'm still giving it 4 stars because the book has great information in it, but I'm just disappointed that there is no new information in it.
