and left alone to rediscover himself and a new world. He joins the Force, the Bureau, the Agency, the County

Courts, the Medical Center, and the Corps. He acquires authority with no one to answer to, but the Whitehouse.

Believing to be General of the U.S. Armed Forces, he launches a rescue operation with the assistance of Air CAV

to recover the POWs in Vietnam. There would be one problem. He left his communicator back in school.

About the Author

JOE MEDINA was born in Managua, Nicaragua in 1968. He studied in the Gifted Program at Hoover Street

Elementary School and attained his High School diploma through the GED exam in the sixth grade. He

attended West Point Military Academy in 1979. The Summer of that same year he earned a PhD in

Psychology, in an audited course at UCLA. He served in the Army from 1986 through 1987 and was awarded

the Distinguished Graduate Award, the Army Achievement Medal, and the Army’s Driver’s Badge Award.

He volunteered his services in the LAPD, FBI, CIA, the County Courts, UCLA Medical Center, and the

Conservation Corps. He served as an LDS Missionary in 1992 through 1994 at Mexico City and was selected

as Sheriff thereafter. He has degrees in Liberal Arts and Computer Information Systems. Joe Medina resides

in Los Angeles. He married in 2004 and is father of two.
