About the Author

Whitney Tilt has spent a career working in fisheries and wildlife conservation addressing a wide range of challenges from Colorado River water allocations and black-footed ferret recovery to recreational use of the Yellowstone River and evaluation of federal fisheries programs. He earned a Masters of Environmental Science from the Yale School of Forestry and Environmental Studies, and began his introduction to the Greater Yellowstone Region ranching in the Tetons of Idaho. When not working in natural resource conservation, Whitney is out flyfishing, hiking, bird hunting or otherwise enjoying the Northern Rockies with family, friends, and dogs. Whitney is quick to point out that he is a plant enthusiast and “Land Snorkeler” (not a trained botanist).
