About the Author

Faith Ann Hope

Born and raised on Long Island, N.Y., the author relocated in 1990 to Delray Beach, Florida where she resides with her boyfriend and grey European Shorthaired rescue cat named Tiger.

As a teenager, both English teacher and college professor noted her talent in writing, but that would have to wait as she pursued the art of current need, 'getting a job' and entering into the workforce.

Twenty-five years of utilizing her right brain, Faith Ann stumbled onto a social media site while conducting research. Surprising herself, she joined the site which enabled her to exercise her long-neglected left brain; she eagerly wrote short stories on her profile for her own amusement.

A twist of fate occurred when board members from the social site decided to create a book for charity, by selecting a few of the most popular, top-rated stories written by its members. Her most popular story, "How I beat shyness" was chosen for the book.

While rummaging through a drawer one afternoon, she found the written works of an unfinished story, inspired by a drowning moth found after a rainstorm by her niece and nephew. Recent news stories about rash judgment and bias having a profound negative impact on society prompted the urgency to finish the children's book.

For two years, evening hours were dedicated to updating the story into an actual illustrated book - Fluttering Flights.
