NYT & USAT BESTSELLING AUTHOR

Part of the USA TODAY bestselling series: Happily Everlasting!

Welcome to Everlasting, Maine, where there’s no such thing as normal.

Anna Crawford is well aware her town is filled with supernaturals, but she isn’t exactly willing to embrace her paranormal gifts. Her aunt says she’s a witch-in-denial. All Anna wants is to live a quiet “normal” life and run her business, Witch’s Brew Coffee Shop and Bakery. But everything is about to be turned upside down the moment Jackson Argent walks into her life.

Jackson isn’t sure why he agreed to come back to his boyhood home of Everlasting. It’s like a spell was cast and he couldn’t say no. Covering the Cranberry Festival isn’t exactly the hard-hitting news this reporter is used to. But when a local death is ruled an accident, and the police aren’t interested in investigating, he takes it upon himself to get to the bottom of the mystery. To do that, he’ll need to enlist the help of the beautiful coffee shop owner.

It soon becomes apparent things are not what they seem and more than coffee is brewing in Everlasting.

I so enjoyed reading this fun and witty story.....I loved the craziness of Aunt Polly and let's not forget Templeton! Anna is a witch who has repressed her witchiness for all her adult life having witnessed the damage that spells can throw back. She was raised by her Aunt Polly in Everlasting, a small town full of supernaturals and has even been the victim of her well meant, wacky aunt, which is why she is so reserved when it comes to relationships. She asks herself if the new guy in town could be another of her aunt Polly's spells and she won't have any of it, she'll just have to reign in her tumultuous feelings. But Jackson Argent may just have wielding her lustful magic sooner rather than later if she's not careful, he is just so yummy after all. Lot's of mysterious and magical who done it.

What did you say, weren’t we talking about scones? Fooled Around and Spelled in Love by Michelle M. Pillow is the third book in the Happily Everlasting Series, each story is written by one of the four authors. The story takes place in Everlasting, Maine a small town along the coast, “where there’s no such thing as normal.” I found this book not as funny as the last one, but I liked the mystery a little better. The town of Everlasting, Maine continues to grow on me. This story starts with the death of one of the town’s young gentlemen and how our young sleuths figure it out, and maybe they fall in love. I really love happy endings. I better not go there though. Our female lead is Anna, the owner of the Witch’s Brew Coffee House and Bakery. She is Aunt Polly’s niece. Yes, the Polly who gave Hugh the non-cussing potion. Yes, back to Anna. She is a witch in denial. Anna is also a very generous soul, she helps everyone, giving them free muffins and checking in on them, she is a friend to everyone. Anna is crazy busy with the cranberry festival and all the baking. Anna makes her living at the Witch's Brew but she loves photography. She also has a small trust issue when it comes to magic and relationships. Polly put cast a spell to make her and George have some fun and Anna thought she was in love until she wasn’t. Jackson is a journalist, who was born in Everlasting. He is back to write a story exposing the unnatural things that happen in Everlasting during the Cranberry Festival. He was told that Anna would be a great photographer to hire when he arrived in town. The thing about Jackson is he knows what is right and wrong but he kind of puts his own spin on what he figures is right. Jackson is a lurker, his conscientious can leave his body and walk around listening to conversations and snooping. This is a very convenient skill for a journalist. Polly the local witch is positively wonderful. What a great aunt. She really keeps things moving. Polly like many of the inhabitants of Everlasting has her own sense of fashion. Did I mention the bright red hair? Polly cast the spell to bring Jackson to Everlasting and now Anna can’t tell if she honestly likes him or if it is a spell. Anna and Jackson have set out to find the person that killed George, but they may find out more about George than Anna really wanted to know. They will also have the assistance of a cursed camera and Polly of course, but don’t count on much help from the Deputies as they have other things to keep them busy. Below is my favorite quote from this book. “I told you, either use it or don’t, but you can’t just dibble-dabble with the bibble-babble.” – Aunt Polly This series is chalked full of interesting characters who do some of the darnedest things. I truly adore Everlasting. My rating is 5 stars, I highly recommend this book and the series. This is the first book that I have read by Michelle M. Pillow but I look forward to reading some of her other books, as they look steamy and magical. I will be starting the fourth book in the series, Witchful Thinking by Kristen Painter. I have read many of Kristen’s books and I am really looking forward to this one. This is a Guest Review for Baroness' Book Trove. Everlasting, Maine where abnormal is normal and unexpected is always expected. This story is about Anna Crawford owner of Witch’s brew coffee and bakery and niece of Polly the well known witch. She just wants to live a quiet, peaceful life, but with an aunt like Polly there isn’t much chance. Jackson Argent is originally from Everlasting and he never thought to return but his boss sent him to cover the cranberry festival. Of course it’s because Polly sent a spell but hey, the universe told her to do it. Then Anna’s friend George dies from an allergic reaction. Anna is hit hard and Jackson wonders if she is responsible since she had just given him two of her muffins. So he sets out to find out as much about her as he can...and things start to happen. This was a very entertaining murder mystery with romance and strange things happening. Great book.

In the town of Everlasting, there is a shop called witch''s brew coffee shop owned by Anna. A witch who doesn't use her magic. Jackson is a reporter who was Born in Everlasting but moved away as a child. He has gifts too. When there is a death in town they both work together to find out who done it. What a great story. I love the characters, it's has lots of mystery and intrigue. It kept my attention and I couldn't put it down. I had to know what happens next. If your into mystery, and who done it stories with a twist of magic you will LOVE this one. Voluntarily reviewed a copy and I honestly loved it.

I just love this series and hope the authors decide to write more. They all have some of the same characters and of course, are set in the same town, Everlasting. But they are stand alone so can be read in any order. I love anything Michelle Pillow writes and she doesn’t dissapoint in this one. The characters are all well developed and very likable. Anna is a very busy young lady with no time for love when a strange reporter who is also handsome shows up. Being busy baking for the cranberry festival, everything is chaotic enough when someone turns up dead. Of course, Everlasting’s finest, August, who is named after the calendar month that he posed for, says case closed, there is no foul play. But Anna feels otherwise. She is a witch in denial. Check it out and see how things play out.

Maybe I’m your knight in shining armor. 5 SILVER KISSES Do I look like a damsel in distress? When I kiss you, it does feel magical. You call it magic, I call it chemistry. Something, or someone, wanted me to be here. you should pay attention. The universe speaks. All you have to do is listen. What is it about that title that makes me start singing while thinking of dancing with Star Lord? Must be witchy-author magic! *giggle* Yes, Michelle cast her author spell on me...AGAIN! Even though this one is different, it still contains all of the Michelle M. Pillow magic & charm I love! I giggled my way through this one, falling under Jackson's spell - even though I wasn't truly sure he WAS a good guy – all while thoroughly & immensely enjoying every single minute of it! Being given the chance to go back to Everlasting again was AH-MAZE-ING! This time I became Anna, which afforded me the unique opportunity to get to know Aunt Polly, the witch behind Hugh's hilariously creative swearing! Of course there is a lot more to Anna than just her crazy, loveable Aunt, but I don't want to give too much away! I have to say that I did fall in love with Jackson! His unique ability is BEYOND AWESOME, but I don't think I would be as honest as he is with it! And that camera?!? CRAZY!! All in all, I LOVE all of the magic & romance, the various abilities & powers, the truly nutty and loveable town, the multifaceted characters - even the green alien/weed guy - the mysterious happenings, and the way the town comes to life all around me, no matter who is sharing the story with me! But in true Michelle M. Pillow style, I became a part of the story, seeing, feeling, experiencing & living it all through, with and as Anna and Jackson, trying to solve the mystery, trying to get Anna & Jackson together...oh my! I became Aunt Polly too, didn't I? *smiles* Once again, like the astronomically talented and tremendously & genuinely gifted author she is, Michelle had me under her spell from beginning to end and loving every moment! Ever since I discovered her a few years ago, Michelle has been one of my all-time favorite authors, and will always remain so, with her & her books living Happily Everlasting on my bookshelf and in my heart! Still corny, but still true!

Anna Crawford, baker extraordinaire and long suffering niece, is a witch in denial. She'd rather people fell in love with her cooking than subject them to her magic. Having been under the thrall of a spell herself, she never wants anyone to feel that out of control. Jackson Argent, former Everlasting resident, has returned to cover the Cranberry festival. He has fond memories of the town, well...at least until his dad used the family "talent" to steal. Jackson can also make his consciousness leave his body but he uses it to get the scoop rather than rob people! But bodies are being found at an alarming rate and one of the towns deputies believes Anna is involved! Anna's Aunt Polly is still causing mayhem in the background and I love this woman. She is a breath of fresh air but the way she is oblivious to poor Peteys crush on her is brilliant! With lots of red herrings, I did not have a clue who did it until they were unmasked. Brilliant characters, snappy dialogue and suitably small town setting!

Everlasting was filled with humans and those with special powers. Anna chose to ignore her powers, unlike her aunt. Anna's bake shop was the hot spot for coffee and yummy treats, especially during the Cranberry Festival. Jackson thought he'd never come back to his hometown and the memories he tried to ignore. Yet, here he was, doing a story on the festival. That was another thing. He wrote hard news not feel good small town holidays. He had taken the assignment though, so he'd see it through. Meeting Anna made it a little easier to take. Then, of course, a murder spiced things up. Especially when the calendar guys--oops, I mean police force ignored it and wrote it off. Who was guilty? Were the tools of the trade magically enhanced? Are the crime and victim, her friend, enough to persuade Anna to use her powers? What is this pull she feels for Jackson? A new genre for this author with interesting characters, humor, some romance, and mystery. And a fun read. Hope there will be more. I voluntarily reviewed this advanced reader copy and I have not been compensated in any way.
