Overview

After four years between albums, American country star Blake Shelton issued his 13th full-length, For Recreational Use Only, in 2025. Penned after Shelton got a surge of inspiration following his Post Malone collaboration, the 12-song set features much of the same reliably anthemic material fans have come to love over two decades, with highlights "Stay Country or Die Tryin'" and "Life's Been Comin' Too Fast" begging for beer-soaked celebration. Standout "Texas" throws a groovy curveball into the mix, a Latin-tinged smolderer that shakes up the otherwise straightforward approach of the rest of the album.
