About the Author

Larry A. Zucker received his BA in English (Creative Writing) from the University of Redlands and his MS in athletic administration from Cal Poly Pomona. In addi- tion to working for many years at Cal State Fullerton as Senior Associate Vice Presi- dent of Development where he developed million dollars galas and auctions, he has worked as a consultant for more than a hundred nonprofit organizations, including many universities.
Despite the fact that Larry founded The Gavel Group the day before the September 11 attacks of 2001, the organization has grown to become the country’s number one producer of charity auctions and has produced more than one thousand auctions raising more than $500 million for charities and other non-profits in its eighteen+ years of operation.
Larry and his wife, Jacqueline Henry, are the parents of three children, Jordan, Cam- eron, and Taylor. They also enjoy the company of three pugs (Bailey, Cali and Harp- er) that have been featured on The Today Show. Larry is currently working on his third book and his golf game.
