He served on the Committee on Jewish Laws and Standards of the Conservative Movement

Rabbi Stein has authored numerous articles and academic articles. He serves as the Rabbi for Greenburgh Hebrew Center in Dobbs Ferry, NY. With his wife, Sharon, they have eight children combined.
