Seven to ten years of going above and beyond the original Paper Trails printed thirty years ago, this is THE collection of Manuscripts, Maps, Census's, etc, that dictate where and how the Douberly Family of Savannah, Georgia have come to be.
In that seven to ten years, this marks the very end of what I believe I was suppose to do all along, which was to collaborate mainly everything that I have collected over the years and put it out for all descendants of both, Jacob B Douberly, and William B. Douberly.
Unlike the original Paper Trails from thirty years ago, where they went upon memory. Which I'm glad they did to say the least, this is the truth. There cannot be another book made, because everything that their was to find, I found it, and it's all in these contents.
Lastly, for me, This book began with researching my 3rd great grandfather, William B Douberly, and this book is only made possible by him. All the proceeds from this book is going straight to buying him a gravestone that he never had, so future generations of Douberly's will know without a shadow of a doubt about Wm. B., and so that is where this journey of mine stops. The same place his did.
Lastly, from beginning to end you will find and I promise, you will gain a whole new respect of our heritage.
