We have given in the pages of this small volume a brief history of the Federal movement, and a somewhat elaborate description of the final ceremony which took place on the first day of January of this year, when the Federation of the six colonies of New South Wales, Victoria, South Australia, Queensland, Western Australia and Tasmania, under the title of the Commonwealth of Australia, became.
