Description: Neuroanatomy has seen continuous change over the past few decades, in particular with the advantage of newer neurochemical, molecular, and radiological techniques. This edition has been extensively updated in its context, pictures, and references.
Purpose: The purpose is to address neuroanatomy in an easy and accessible manner. These worthy objectives are fully met by the authors.
Audience: Neurologists, neurosurgeons, and neuroanatomists are the main targets of this book. The authors are credible authorities in the field.
Features: This book's concept is interesting in the presentation of neuroanatomy. Besides the clear language, the pictures are representative, the references up-to-date, and the addition of important features in each chapter help the reader, typically a student, to better grasp the concepts. I don't think there are any shortcomings. It's definitely simplified yet comprehensive. Blood supply is always mentioned, since many neurological conditions present differently and puzzle clinicians. It is very affordable, which puts this book at an advantage over others for medical students and residents.
Assessment: This is a great book with newly added necessary features and an attractive price. It is a good book to include in neuroscience libraries and general medical libraries.

For this second edition, new chapters have been added on reticular formation, control of posture and movement, and the patient with neurological disorder. An extensive atlas of spinal cord and brain sections, as well as magnetic resonance images in three planes, is included. Overall, the book includes some 400 images, including two-color line illustrations, radiographs in all modalities, and bAndw clinical photos.
