Gap Year
I decided to quit school for a year, and decide at the end if I would end up going back. That year was hard, but in a different way than university. I produced a fraction of the work I'd produced for the previous two years. But having a non-burnt-out brain did make a difference: This is some of my favorite writing I've ever done. Hope you enjoy.

About the Author

Reina Cartwright (she/her) is the pen name of a young American author. Her two previous books, Freshman and Sophomore, are available from Barnes and Noble. Rei loves black-and-white movies, windy days, and mint tea. Her wildest dream is to time travel.
Find Reina at @ReiCartwright on Instagram.

Hannah Noffsinger (she/her) is a young writer who sometimes uses a pen name. She is enamored by the connecting power of stories, and hopes that her writing helps other queer and Autistic girls recognize themselves. If she’s not sitting on a park bench or hiding in her nearest library, you can find her on Instagram @hannah.noffsinger or at ko-fi.com/nutmeggoblin.
Hannah is also a little bit crazy. Just ask her husband.
