About the Author

Abigail Howle has always loved spending time with children and admiring their childlike awe, wonder, and enjoyment of the world. As she grew older, she became discouraged by how many young women struggle with their identity and self-worth. Abigail believes this challenge starts as a heart issue—one that is rooted in the desire to feel truly known and approved by their Heavenly Father. This inspired her to write this book, centered around the powerful truth from Matthew 3:17, “This is my son/daughter, with whom I am well pleased.”

A student at Samford University, Abigail became aware of the burdens of the foster care system in Alabama and felt a strong calling to help. She launched the S.O.A.R. Initiative (Supporting Opportunities, Advocacy, and Restoring Hope) to raise awareness, community support, and donations. The proceeds from this book will support foster care and child development organizations across Alabama, helping children and families receive the care and love they deserve.

Abigail fell in love with storytelling while working at summer camp, where making up silly bedtime stories for the campers became one of her favorite traditions. Her prayer is that this book empowers young girls to find their identity in Christ before they have the opportunity to place it in anything else, leading them to live in the freedom of their Heavenly Father’s approval.
