About the Author

ROSIE McQUILKIN began adventuring at age three and after more than a decade spent playing in the woods, she brings a unique perspective to children’s environmental education.  Rosie has summited all 67 New England four-thousand-foot mountains and is currently completing the New England Hundred Highest and Winter White Mountain Four-Thousand-Footer hiking lists. Rosie is a high school student with a passion for writing and photography and has won several national and state art competitions.  A lifelong Girl Scout, Rosie is dedicated to outdoor education for kids.  When not at school, Rosie spends her time playing sports, cooking, traveling, and hanging out with her pet chickens.

CHRISTINE McQUILKIN is a publisher and digital marketing expert who enjoys creating memorable brands for her clients whether they are corporations or her children.  Her hobbies include gardening, hiking, mountain biking, writing, and gluten-free baking. Christine holds two degrees in engineering and graduated from Dartmouth College with a Master of Engineering Management.  She is the author of several blogging websites, numerous technical articles, and is currently working on her first cookbook.

ADAM McQUILKIN is an award-winning photographer and videographer who is studying engineering at Dartmouth College. An overachieving Renaissance man, Adam has accomplished a great deal in his first two decades on the planet including a U.S. patent for an electronics design, Boy Scouts Eagle Scout rank, and founding a software startup company. An avid outdoorsman, Adam is a Dartmouth College outdoor trips leader and has summited all 67 four-thousand-foot mountains in New England. Adam is currently working to complete the New England Hundred Highest and Winter White Mountain Four-Thousand-Footers hiking lists.
