About the Author

Janet Nolan is the award-winning author of numerous fiction and nonfiction picture books. Janet lives in Oak Park, Illinois. She has a B.A. from The Evergreen State College and a master’s degree in urban planning and policy from the University of Illinois at Chicago. She is a member of the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators (SCBWI).
 

Maria Neradova grew up in a small town in western Slovakia. After years of drawing and doodling as a child, she decided to pursue a creative career. She studied graphic design at Tomas Bata University in Zlin, Czech Republic, and illustration and printmaking at the Academy of Fine Arts in Slovakia. A freelance illustrator, she now lives in Bratislava, Slovakia.
