About the Author

John Leslie Oliver is a retired teacher, artist and historian. As President of the Trousdale County, Tennessee Historical Society and a director of the county archives, he has read, collected, listened to, interviewed and visited much of Middle Tennessee and Central Kentucky. While the story of pioneers is his speciality, it is his interest in ghost stories that has resulted in this book. In addition to three books on Trousdale County history, Oliver has written over one thousand articles on local history for his county newspaper.
