La historia de la humanidad comienza con la invención de la escritura hace más de cinco mil años en Mesopotamia y Egipto. La Prehistoria comprende el conocimiento del tiempo previo, en donde no se encuentran registros escritos, pero sí de otro orden, como yacimientos funerarios y pinturas rupestres que hoy nos muestran el protagonismo femenino en el arte primigenio y en la misma hominización. Ha llegado el momento de preguntarse, ¿dónde estaban las mujeres en la historia? La primera obra escrita de naturaleza literaria es de una mujer sumeria, sacerdotisa mayor, además de princesa y poeta, Enheduanna. Es un poema a su diosa lunar, Inanna, en el que le pide protección frente al asedio de la ciudad de Lugalanne. Sin embargo, durante mucho tiempo, la gran aportación de las mujeres a la cultura y la historia ha quedado oculta o tergiversada.

Prehistory includes the knowledge of the previous time, where there are no written records, but there are records of another order, such as burial sites and cave paintings that today show us the female protagonism in primitive art and in the same hominization. The time has come to ask ourselves, where were women in history? The first written work of a literary nature is by a Sumerian woman, high priestess, princess and poet, Enheduanna. It is a poem to her lunar goddess, Inanna, in which she asks for protection against the siege of the city of Lugalanne. However, for a long time, the great contribution of women to culture and history has been hidden or misrepresented.
