About the Author

Kate Pearce was born into a large family of girls in England, and spent much of her childhood living very happily in a dream world. Despite being told that she really needed to ‘get with the program’, she graduated from the University College of Wales with an honors degree in history. After graduation, real life did intervene and she ended up working in finance which was not the greatest career choice for a would-be writer!A move to the USA finally allowed her to fulfill her dreams and sit down and write that novel. Along with being a voracious reader, Kate loves trail riding with her family, ‘western style’ in the regional parks of Northern CaliforniaKate writes in several different romance sub-genres under different names. She is a member of RWA and is published by Kensington Aphrodisia, Ellora’s Cave and Virgin Black Lace/Cheek.

3.75* The Gift 3.5*  Samantha Kane This is probably one of the best historical ménage books I've read so far. I really liked the characters Cordelia, Rhys and Jeremy. The men come home after a year of being heals captive after realizing they love each other and Cordelia. Now all they have to do is convince her this is real and it will work. It turned a little sappy for me in the end but I really wished the story was longer so we could see their future.  My Hearts Desire 4* Kate Pearce  Caroline is still at her sisters house two years later after going there to recover from the accident that took her husbands life. She is basically hiding from the world and the people that will judge her for her scares. Jasper has always loved Caroline and has come to her sisters house party in hopes to convince her they could have a life together if only she will, allow it b

While I am aware of threesomes etc. I am not particularly inclined to read about it in my romance novels. If a label should be placed on 'the gift' it should be 'deviant erotica' because though the language is not vulgar the sex does deviates from the norm. Free or otherwise I wouldn't recommend. Zero star!

These are not romance stories for teens, these are for those of us who like them hot and sweet and served for three.

I love Samantha Kane's Brother in Arms series. This is but a short story in the series. It was enjoyable. I hope she makes it into a full novel.

Lots of love and lots of sex. Only a couple of editorial mistakes, nothing egregious. Well worth it!

I liked both of these stories. They are short but have enough detail to still paint a good picture of what is going on. Sometimes with short stories the authors don't get the chance to really make it great. So not the case with these two. They are quickly becoming two of my favorites! Will be reading more from them both.
