About the Author

After serving a hitch in the army, years in industrial sales, then stocks and bonds, I found my career niche in public education, Medina City Schools, OH.
After the loss of my dear partner in life, Joan, I spent the next decade exploring the West, sharing time with family, and a friend.

But Rhode Island called, clearly, so here I am continuing to take my nature photos, hiking,
writing children's stories, and traveling coast to coast visiting "my five," thirteen grandchildren, three greats.

Life is smiles... few days without.

Emily is living out her dream creating artwork for people of all ages. She illustrated "Santa's Dilemma: To Eat or Not to Eat" and her artwork is also featured in book, "Team Cul de Sac: Cartoonists Draw the Line At Parkinson's". Emily has also created logos, greeting cards, t-shirt designs, educational flashcards and product designs for souvenirs. Currently, Emily lives in Traverse City Michigan with her husband and three sons.
