Overview

Are you spiritual, but not religious? Organized religion seems passé, yet you desire a connection to a Beyond-ness larger than self? In Growing Spiritually, counselor and theologian Robert Ouradnik delivers a moving and persuasive thesis that while religious conventions may serve community and facilitate daily decision-making, it is personal spiritual experiences that reveal life's meaning and establish our connections to the ultimate realities of life. The author urges readers to consider with open mind and heart the magnificent possibilities revealed by an awareness of the "Beyond that is in the midst of everything." Using the practical insights of religion, while holding a firm commitment to the ultimate truth revealed in the personal experience, will permit readers to assess their purpose in life with renewed openness, and come to an understanding that leads beyond materialism into those hidden places that offer the deeper meaning and richness of our lives.
