About the Author

Shan Jixiang is a renowned expert in cultural heritage preservation, having served as the sixth Director of the Palace Museum and the Director of the Beijing Municipal Planning Commission. He graduated from a research institution, holds a Ph.D. in engineering, and is a registered urban planner. In addition to his leadership positions, Jixiang is an exceptional researcher at the Central Research Institute of Cultural Heritage and the President of the Chinese Society of Cultural Relics.
