PreS-Gr 1—Old Bear comes out of his den looking for something delicious to eat and finds the home of Bubba Brayna, who mistakes Old Bear for the rabbi in this adaptation of a picture book written by Eric A. Kimmel and illustrated by Mike Wohnoutka. Together, Bubba and Old Bear light the menorah and play dreidel before eating Bubba Brayna's delicious potato latkes. The animated illustrations appear to glow with candlelight, but what is truly one of the best parts of this animated adaptation is the narration. The narrator makes Old Bear's growls rise and fall, and switches to an elderly voice that is absolutely perfect for Bubba Brayna. A lovely and heartwarming tale to celebrate Hanukkah.
