About the Author

Rabbi Shoshana Hantman grew up in the West Mount Airy section of Philadelphia, and was educated at Gratz College and the University of Pennsylvania. She received ordination from the Reconstructionist Rabbinical College, and a master's degree in edu-cation from Temple University. Shoshana has served as both a congregational rabbi and a synagogue education director; in 1992, she founded the independent Halutsim Hebrew School, where the students read plays in class nearly every week. Shoshana lives in northern Westchester County, New York, with her husband Richard Weill and their two children. Her first book, Passover Parodies: Short Plays for the Seder Table, was awarded a Gold Medal at the 2014 Independent Publishers Book Awards. Her second book, Choose Your Path: Adventures in American Jewish History, was a 2018 Independent Publishers Book Awards Silver Medal Winner.
