Overview

Grins & Giggles, Tears & Triumphs, Hope & Healing for the seasons of a woman's soul ... Join two crazy, wacky best friends for a LOL journey through the seasons of a woman's life. What do bunny slopes, spanx, and menopause all have in common? These are just a few words to describe the crazy adventures that will have you chuckling. Before long you will be feeling much better about yourself after reading about all the trouble that these co-authors get themselves into. Not only will your mood be lighter but you will soon find yourself saying, "AWE ...I get it, and I just saw a little glimpse of God at work in my daily life." Beware, even though this is a book for women you will find yourself reading aloud so that the man in your life can better understand your plight. He may never understand the feminine mind, but he will certainly have a good chuckle while listening. Each year is filled with winter, spring, summer, and fall. These seasons spill over into our spiritual, emotional, and physical seasons as well. For each and every one of us there is a time to plant, to weep, to laugh, to mourn, and to get up and dance again. Not one of us is going to live on planet earth forever and that awareness brings us fear that comes to steal our faith and rob us of our joy. There is only one match for fear ... faith. We need to know that in every season of our lives, God is still good. Perhaps today you find yourself in a place of sadness, sorrow, and suffering. This book is our gift to you because we all need to be reminded that we are never alone. God wants us to know how much He loves us. Many people spend their days in fear worrying about when and how they will die, but the real question for us today is, "What will we do with the seasons of life we have been given?" This book is about defeating fear through faith, hope, and love. We dare not wait for a sunny day, a perfect day, or a day that we feel good enough. All of our tomorrows are based on the decisions we make today. If we are to be "fabulous through the seasons" we must take our Heavenly Father's hand, put our feet on His feet and simply learn to follow His leading. Let's celebrate ... It's time to learn to Happy Dance! "There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under heaven ... a time to be born and a time to die ... a time to weep and a time to laugh ... a time to mourn and a time to DANCE!" (Ecclesiastes 3: 1-4)

About the Author

The "Barefoot Authors", Denise Rogers and Debbie Sempsrott are excited to present the first of three books being released this year.

Each of their book covers show feet with no shoes on. In Exodus 3: 5b Moses encountered Almighty God and was told these words, "Take off your shoes, for the place where you are standing is holy ground." Each barefoot picture is a reminder to us that the same God still speaks, rescues, and provides today. Our shoes are off, and we stand in awe of a God that takes the ordinary and turns it into "HOLY GROUND".
These books have first been given away to people with cancer, in hospitals, and to women that are in search of faith.

Debbie Sempsrott is a "PK" (Preacher's kid), a Pastor's wife, and serves in ministry with her husband. Debbie works in worship and with women's ministries. She is the mother of two amazing kids. As a mother she has joined the "sisterhood" of moms with special needs children; she has also experienced the ups and downs of adoption as well. She is a graduate of two Bible colleges and holds a Masters degree in Marriage and Family Counseling. Most of all she is best known as "just Debbie". She is the girl next door that loves to play, laugh, and swim in a nearby pool. She will blow your stereotype of pastor's wives while making your chuckle and perhaps cry.

Denise Rogers is an accountant and she co-owns her own accounting business. Numbers roll through her mind from morning to night. However, she is not like any accountant you have ever met. She is as funny as the day is long. She has the red hair, antics, and facial expressions of Lucy; and yes, most everyone loves her! Denise is married to a "red-neck" with really great "one liners", and she is the mom of a fireman.
Denise is a storyteller at heart. She is the person that people call when they need a skit, a drama, or a speaker that is funny ...really funny. That is the only way "she rolls" (and you will all learn soon that she does roll). She is the queen of spanx, ah bras, depends, and anything else that can roll or "go south". We call her "Funny Denise". After you read a bit, I think you will agree. This girl is pure CWAZEEEEE! She dares to say out-loud what the rest of us only think. she wants everyone to feel comfortable and at home.

So, grab your green tea; find a comfy chair and join this Lucy and Ethel team. We will laugh and cry, and catch a greater glimpse of God.

This book is all about "the dance".
