About the Author

TERRY MONROE is president and founder of American Business Brokers & Advisors, where he specializes in advising entrepreneurs who do not have a succession plan and are considering selling their business. He has helped hundreds of business owners develop an exit plan and enhance the value of their business. Terry also writes articles for many trade magazines and has been featured in USA Today, Inc., Entrepreneur magazine, and the Wall Street Journal over the years.

When Terry is not working with his clients, he likes adventure hiking and trekking mountains. Terry has summited some of the world’s most famous peaks, including Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania, Mount Aconcagua in Argentina, and Mount Breithorn in Switzerland.
