About the Author

JOANNA SHUBIN has spent forty-five years teaching science in multiple grade levels. Most of those forty-fi ve years have been spent at the Roslyn Middle School. She also has done outreach science programs for school groups at the Science Museum of Long Island. She lives in New York with her husband, dozens of microbes dangling from her study’s ceiling, and a cardboard stand-up of Albert Einstein.
