Molly is certain she saw her new neighbors struggling on the balcony and later a body on their patio. She convinced her ex-boyfriend and police detective Barry to check it out and he tells her there were logical reasons for both and there was not a fight or a murder. Molly cannot just give up and starts investigating but finds she comes up with more questions and no answers. She is afraid that someone is going to get by with the perfect murder. I have read and enjoyed all the books in this series and am curious to what happens next especially after the teaser at the end of the story.

Author Betty Hechtman creates a cozy setting that draws you into a feeling of being with good friends. Warmth and companionship shines through the pages of this mystery despite the tragedy of murder. The characters are likable and realistic with quirky twists that readers can relate to. One doesn’t have to know how to crochet to enjoy this mystery just like a good plot with fascinating characters. The story moves at a steady pace that will hold your attention. New readers to the series won’t be left in the dark as the author provides enough background detail for this story to stand on its own. A good blend of mystery, mayhem, friendship, romance, humor, and loyalty make this a delightful tale that is well-balanced. For those who do enjoy crocheting, there’s a pattern added at the end along with several tasty recipes. HOOKING FOR TROUBLE is a perfect book to curl up with in any type of weather or season. FTC Full Disclosure – A copy of this book was sent to me by the publisher. However, receiving the complimentary copy did not influence my review. The thoughts are completely my own and given honestly and freely.

love this book, love the series! makes me want to crochet too the only small, small thing I didn't like was that the story is set in April, I wish it had had a more holiday spin coming out in Novemer

Author Betty Hechtman knows how to spin a yarn that will keep readers hooked. With my fiftieth birthday just around the corner when I read this HOOKING FOR TROUBLE, the irony of protagonist Molly Pink celebrating her fiftieth wasn’t lost on me. Indeed, I felt energized by the fact. HOOKING FOR TROUBLE was an excellent story. It had such a well thought out plot, which was executed brilliantly. There were times when I was sure I knew exactly where things were leading, only to turn the page and find I was heading in a completely different direction. Betty Hechtman has a real talent for writing an intricate tale that twists and turns, slowly intertwining until the reader is totally tied up in the tale. Then, she expertly starts to unravel the knot to lead us through the exciting reveal and the ultimate conclusion. It truly is hard to tell that HOOKING FOR TROUBLE is the eleventh book in the Crochet Mystery series. Hechtman’s ideas are still fresh and entertaining. I for am looking forward to volume twelve! Make sure to check out the back of this book for a great crochet pattern, as well as a couple tasty recipes!
