Ellen graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a B.A. and M.A. in The History & Sociology of Science, focusing on the history of medicine. Thereafter, she earned her J.D. from The Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law. For many years, she defended complex medical malpractice tort claims.
