Intimacy with God! Is it possible? Pastor David Stewart reminds us that not only is it possible, it is absolutely vital to the believer’s relationship with God. That intimacy is foundational to the believer’s effectiveness in fulfilling the purpose for which God placed us here. The garden of Eden was designed for intimacy. There, Adam and Eve walked with God in the cool of the evening. They were naked and not ashamed. Disobedience changed the relationship! How ironic that in the very place designed for intimacy, they hid from God. Ministry to the Lord precedes ministry for the Lord! No wonder that when Jesus called His disciples in Mark chapter 3, He “ordained” them—that they should (first) be with Him!
