I RELEASED HER THROUGH MY TEARS
"I Released Her Through My Tears" by Eldrie A. Scott is a sacred unraveling - a mother's heart cracked wide open by grief and held together by God's grace. It is the story of Arnise Mylan Scott, a miracle child born after four miscarriages, whose life pulsed with purpose far beyond her fifteen years. She was gifted, fierce, tender, and unforgettable - armed with a photographic memory, a 4.0 GPA, and a dream to be an anesthesiologist by 21. But God had other plans. This book walks you through the storm - the scream in the night, the silence after loss, the aching 'Why me?' that transforms into 'Why not me?' It carries you from the ICU to the altar, from blame to forgiveness, and from death to legacy. Eldrie A. Scott doesn't flinch. She remembers, grieves, and then rises because love demanded it. This is not a goodbye. It is a commission - a call to live, feel, and carry our loved ones forward - not in sorrow but in power. This is healing on holy ground.

About the Author

Eldrie Lewis Scott, born February 27, 1960, in Newport News, VA, is the third of Bishop Lawrence and First Lady Josephine Lewis, New Life Church founders. She attended Warwick High School and studied Pre-Med at Norfolk State University before receiving a BS in Biology from Christopher Newport University and an MBA from Strayer University.
Eldrie married Anthony Michael Scott in 1990, and they had their daughter, Arnise Mylan Scott, in 1998. Arnise died in 2014 at age 15 from a brain aneurysm. Roused by a vision from her late mother, she opened New Life Christian School in 1996 with 10 students and extended it to more than 120. Eldrie directed over 60 plays and executed many different roles to make the school a success. When she left the school in 2011, she continued to obey God's leading, discovering new avenues in her life.
