The First White Man in The Black Muslims exemplifies one man's spiritual journey from childhood to adulthood. While the spiritual aspect of the story is enlightening, the interwoven coming-of-age story is engaging and unique. Written as a narrative, this honest account takes the reader through relatable situations of adolescence, such as sibling rivalry, peer pressure, faith uncertainty, parental issues, all the while speaking from the memories of a child searching for the truth combined with an adult's reflection of those incidences. The First White Man in The Black Muslims is a captivating, well-written, and truthful account of one man's journey in faith. I highly recommend it.
