In Constellation, the Roaming Colors
Traveling through the Western states in late June, Bertie and his friends attempt a tour with their band, but at every turn, a figurative detour always seems to come about. Through the eyes of Bertie, he contemplates the past and present of his relationship with the five roadmates, while also drifting off into self-questioning, wondering where he, himself, sits in the universe. Amongst this trip commotion, Bertie becomes more isolated from everything he identifies with back in California. He is not able to fully communicate with his fiancée, Eleanor, receives mystery text messages, struggles with heart issues, and while trying to connect with others out of state, he feels as inhuman as he ever did in his hometown of Woodland, California.
