In Indian Railways, the Third Class

Among the many suggestions for dealing with the evil described here, I respectfully suggest that those in high places, such as the Viceroy, the Commander-in-Chief, the Rajas, Maharajas, Imperial Councillors, and others, who generally travel in superior classes, be subjected to occasional third-class travel without prior notice. We would soon witness a significant improvement in third-class travel conditions, and the uncomplaining millions would receive some compensation for the tickets they pay in the expectation of being transported from point A to point B with ordinary creature amenities.
