What do an ancient Greek philosopher, a nineteenth century sea captain and a twentieth century architect have in common? That's what twelve-year-old Alice Lee and her twin brother Dexter want to find out. Christopher Thomas is a practicing architect. He is a graduate of Tulane University and the University of Illinois at Chicago. His interests include music, literature, mathematics, history as well as architecture and art. In the Realms of Gold is his first book and is an attempt to find a thread that might link most of his interests.
Thomas lives in Evanston, Illinois, just north of Chicago, with his wife, Elizabeth, and daughters, Maeve and Kerry.
