Generations ago, the Seran discovered the five attunements of the Ser, creating the five factions. From the ashes of the war that followed, the first Ambassador rose up to lead the Seran Empire into an era of tenuous peace. They took to the stars, expanding the Empire and making new discoveries. Set against this backdrop, Shay'y of Ieoll, son of the Keeper of the Ambassadorial Court's Great Library, seeks vengeance on the ones responsible for his father's death.
