About the Author

Gloria Dial Hightower was born in a very small town in West Texas. She attended school in Farwell, Texas where she graduated as Valedictorian. She met her husband, Tommy Hightower during her first semester of college at Eastern New Mexico University in Portales, New Mexico. She finished her education at Western New Mexico University in Silver City, New Mexico where she graduated with honors, receiving the Cardinal Key Award.
During her varied career she worked for a short time at a newspaper and a radio station; taught school; worked in marketing; ran her own interior decoration business; was a full-charge bookkeeper; and corporate Secretary-Treasurer.
This is the second murder mystery she has written.
The first one, The Cotton Rope Strangler, was very well received. Her interests other than writing include church, family, oil painting, writing and performing music, and gardening. She is an avid golfer.
