About the Author

Marilyn D. Reid was born in Savannah, Georgia to Linda Y. Cook and raised by her grandparents Jordan and Marilyn Tremble. She is the second oldest of eleven children. Marilyn graduated from Alfred Ely Beach High School in 1997 where she was in the medical magnet program. After graduation she pursed a career in the health field by attending Savannah Technical College obtaining a certificate as a Patient Care Technician. Marilyn furthered her education in the health field and advanced to a position as a Medical Office Assistant. She currently holds a position as a Financial Counselor in the hospital. In July 2000 Marilyn married Tarkis Reid Sr, a Herschel V. Jenkins alumnus. She is also a mother of two, fourteen year old Tarkis Jr. and twelve year old MacKenzie. Marilyn also has a passion for reading and writing. She is currently attending Armstrong Atlantic State University pursuing a degree in English. Marilyn has published several articles in a local newspaper and has released three popular novels, Only You and Me, Inseparable and Another Part of Me.
