About the Author

Haim Abramovich received his B.Sc. in 1975 and his M.Sc. in 1978 at the Technion - Israel Institute of Technology. He became a research fellow at the Aerospace Department at Delft University(The Netherlands) and graduated in 1983 at the Technion in Israel. He worked at the Fuse Department, Telkoor Electronics Ltd., and as a guest professor at the "Institut für Leichtbau und Seilbahntechnik" at the ETH Zürich (Switzerland). Since 1990 he is professor at the Technion in Israel, where he teaches a course on "Intelligent Structures" for undergraduate and graduate students.
