About the Author

Carin Johnivan was born in the wilderness of Alaska, but lived most of her life in Northern California's wine country. As a child she was absorbed in the arts, drawing, painting, theater, and writing. Even with dyslexia, she was a constant reader, loving to escape and travel into other worlds, or moved to ponder a new perspective. She has always been fascinated by a writer's ability to remove a person from their own reality— fashioning or inspiring new imaginings and emotions simply by arranging language into creative word patterns.
