About the Author

Patricia Gray grew up in an isolated village on the land of the Mushkegowuk in the James Bay Lowland region of Northern Canada, where she developed a close kindship with the People and the Land. Eventually, she went on to study healing and wholeness from a cross-cultural perspective, earning a master's degree from the Institute of Transpersonal Psychology in Palo Alto, California. As a licensed psychotherapist, Patricia had a private practice for 20 years specializing in clinical traumatology. She worked extensively with victims of violent crimes and those suffering from the impacts of intergenerational trauma stemming from the Indian Residential School System in Canada.

Today, Patricia lives and paints on the beautiful Saugeen (Bruce) Peninsula on the traditional unceded territory of the Saugeen Ojibway Nation in Ontario, Canada, where she welcomes visitors to her studio and art gallery.
