It's All Cuz of Minou and Joe
Well, y'all, I can't say enough about this series of stories that took me on a magical mystery tour. The characters kept me delighted as they appeared out of nowhere to be added to the story I created in my fey mind! I have been a writer for as long as I can remember. It's something that I haven't been able to stop. When there were times that I didn't write, something in my life was missing. My first book contained stories and poetry dating back to the 1980s, which I kept hidden under my bed.
I wrote poetry that turned into lyrics. I knew to publish them, join the Songwriters Guild of America, and bring my lyrics and the tune I sang to different singers in South Louisiana who I knew would be interested in what I had to offer. I came close to achieving my goals when I shut the door to any success. I became something else that would ensure a paycheck and the ability to rise in the profession with excellent benefits. I remained in that profession for many years, helping people to achieve sobriety. After some time, I found myself in the position of being able to purchase an established bookstore, accomplishing a lifelong dream. I brought many different individuals together in the joy of reading. I ventured out into renting booths to other business owners. I held classes in things like feng shui and started book clubs that continued long after I closed the store.
It was hard to maintain a bookstore in a town that didn't read. During my time owning the bookstore, I picked up a needle, and my Louisiana Swamp Fairies (dolls) were born. I have created many fairies and never duplicated them. They are all different and have been selling since. I live in fairyland pretty much all the time now, creating my dolls and writing short stories that show indeed that I am a resident. I hope that these stories bring you to another realm of make believe and that you laugh, cry, and wonder why. I am truly, Madam C.
