What a life Sondra Lee has lived! I learned so much from reading this book - what it's like to be a young dancer in New York City, a dancer/actress on both coasts, and now a teacher/coach. It seems such a lifestyle is far removed from that of the average person. It's interesting to see life through her eyes for a while as she talks to us about a myriad of topics. This book is like verbal snapshots. Of interest, too, are the other people in the entertainment world she talks about - Marlon Brando, Lee Grant, Ben Hecht, Gloria Swanson, Claire Bloom, Billy Rose, Eileen Brennan, Ginger Rogers, Martha Raye, and Larry Blyden. Great book, Sondra!

Lee masterfully retales her career in a way that is not only humorous, but very well written as well. It's a great read for theater-goers and celebrity fanatics and something I would recommend to my friends.

As an avid theater-goer I found this to be one of the best memoirs by any actress. Sondra Lee is a riot! From her career all around the world to her relationship with Brando, the story was enthralling. Critics think that theater might not have as much juice as Hollywood lure but in my opinion, this sets a much bigger stage.

This heart-felt read is great for anybody passionate about the theatre industry. The not only leaves you laughing out loud, but gives a whole lot of gossip from the side of the entertainment industry that's often untold. It's a great memoir about Lee's career, travels and close personal friends. It simply one of those books you can't put down.
