Jaa Hariye Jaaye

'Ja Hariye Jai' is collection of poems written in Bengali and a few in English. The poems are based on the feeling of the poet on the problems of life of urban and semi-urban people. The author has come very close to the illiterate, downtrodden people who know only to suffer and have no voice to speak. He has felt their sufferings and has vividly expressed them in his poems.

According to the author, there are two worlds - outer and inner. We are part of God, a part of something that is eternal, infinite. Behind all our actions, there is the secret Will of God. Sitting within us, He is guiding and protecting us in all circumstances from all hostile forces. But we cannot realize this presence within us since He is hiding Himself behind His Self-Maya. We can only come nearer to Him by unegoistic self-giving to the indwelling Divine with devotion. A few poems here are offerings to the Divine. The poet has dreamt of an ideal society. According to him, development of both the outer and the inner life are necessary for living a better life devoid of problems. This has been expressed in some of the poems written by him. There are total 249 Bengali and 11 English poems in this book.
