About the Author

Martin Conboy is Professor of Journalism History at the University of Sheffield. He has extensive experience of teaching and research within Journalism Studies in the UK and beyond. Widely published, he is the author of seven single authored books on the history and language of journalism. He is a member of the Association for Journalism Education and is on the editorial boards of Journalism Studies, Media History and Journalism: Theory, Practice and Criticism. He is also a co-editor of the book series Journalism Studies: Key Texts.
