About the Author

Lannie Lovell is the proud mother of three. She dedicated the early part of her life to raising her children. Lannie has worked with high risk teenage girls for over 10 years. She is a para educator who has acted as a mentor and youth counselor. Lannie is the author of Journey to Freedom. Lannie is using her voice to speak for victims of child sexual abuse who cannot speak for themselves. She seeks to bring the hope of deliverance and healing for those that have already endured this trauma. Lannie uses every opportunity to educate others to prevent sexual abuse from happening to children and to bring healing to others. At the same time Lannie wants children to know that they do not have to be afraid to tell someone. Lannie's goal is to reach as many people as she can so that they know they are not alone and they no longer have to remain silent. Helping them to understand that what happened to them is not their fault and they do not have to walk in shame and guilt. Lannie not only wants to help prevent this from happening to others but to also help bring healing and comfort to those who have survived abuse. Lannie hopes that her speaking out will help lead others on their "Journey to Freedom"
