About the Author

Laigha is a student at Leavenworth High School. She has been in JROTC two and a half years. She waS chosen to serve as S-6 in School year 2014-2015. She has loved reading since she was in fourth grade. She has been writing fiction since 6th grade. Her first story was a murder mystery. Now she enjoys writing realistic fiction. Her favorite Series' are 'Warriors' by Erin Hunter and 'Princess Diaries' by Meg Cabot. She also enjoys classics such as 'Of Mice and Men' and 'The Great Gatsby.' She also loves books written in dialect such as 'Their Eyes Were Watching God.' When she's not reading, writing, studying, or working on stuff for JROTC, Laigha works at a local tutoring place, is active in her church youth group, attends Football and Basketball games, hangs out with her Best Friend Gabby and watches 'Dance Moms', 'Psych', and 'Law and Order SVU.' Laigha is living with Patellar tracking disorder and has had 4 surgeries to attempt to correct this problem. Despite these surgeries she still lives in pain. Laigha is excited to experience the last year of highschool
