About the Author

Bryan Bartley had a 40 year career at Kennywood Park, with the last 36 of those years spent maintaining
the many rides of the historic amusement park in their maintenance department. In 2016, he was diagnosed
with Parkinson's disease, a neurological disorder, forcing him to retire prematurely from his long standing
position at the famed amusement park. While working for Kennywood, Bryan’s love of photography
prompted him to take many pictures of the park throughout the seasons, spanning nearly his entire career,
featuring current rides and landmarks as well as those long removed from the park. He began using
Photoshop as a method to battle the hand tremors from his ongoing battle with Parkinson's. With
determination and drive, as well as his continued passion for Kennywood, this book is the result of Bryan not
giving in to Parkinson's showcasing his talents as a photographer and graphic designer.
