Sometimes fate steps in and changes everything...
Andi Stevens drives away from her home town of Seattle to begin a new life with her fiancé in Buffalo, New York. When her car breaks down in the mountains of Montana, she reluctantly knocks on the door of a cabin for help. What she finds is Luke Brennan, the most handsome man she's ever met, who appears annoyed by her bothering him. He takes her up to the main ranch house where his mother welcomes her warmly, opening their home to her for as long as she needs to stay. Andi quickly falls in love with the ranch and its occupants, and the beauty of Montana. And no matter how hard they fight it, she and the brooding cowboy form a bond that becomes stronger by the day. Andi soon finds herself struggling with her promise to marry one man and the attraction she feels for another.
Luke Brennan isn't interested in having his heart broken again. He's loved and lost once, and he's hardened his heart against ever falling in love again. But when a beautiful woman with the most tantalizing green eyes shows up at his door one night, he is taken by surprise. As hard as he tries to stay away from Andi, he finds himself drawn to her time and time again. But she's a city girl, and engaged to another man. She's off limits. Yet, he finds his heart slowly giving itself away to this woman. Should he bet against all odds and tell her how he feels before it's too late?
Does fate hold all the cards for the cowboy and the city girl, or will they choose their own destinies?

Reviewed by Natasha Jackson for Readers' Favorite Andi Stevens is a Seattle artist who is leaving her old life behind her and reuniting with her career obsessed fiancé in New York. In Kiss A Cowboy, Andi doesn’t make it to New York because her transmission leaves her stranded in the Montana mountains. Here she meets Luke Brennan, an unwelcoming and kind of grumpy yet handsome rescuer. Unfortunately, Luke wants nothing to do with another pretty city girl who couldn’t possibly adapt to rural living. Luke takes Andi up to the main house on the ranch where she is openly welcomed by his mom, much to his chagrin. Deanna Lynn Sletten paints a perfect picture of two people fighting attraction for very good reasons. Andi is promised to another man and Luke is guarding his heart against future hurt, but she shows us you simply can’t beat chemistry that strong. Deanna Lynn Sletten has written a well-paced story of opposites that is touching and endearing. As a reformed city boy, Luke knows exactly what he doesn’t want, no matter how attracted he is to urbanite Andi. What I loved so much about Kiss A Cowboy is the barbs exchanged between them because it is when passion most sparked between them before the first kiss. The honesty between them as they shared things with each other that you wouldn’t typically share with a stranger, or even early in a romantic relationship, was beautiful to witness as the foundation for their relationship. Ms. Sletten did a wonderful job developing secondary characters that lent more credence to the nuances of Luke and Andi. We really got to know them and therefore understand and love them. This isn’t your typical cowboy falls for a city girl story, and it is so much better because of that fact.
Deanna you have such a beautiful way of writing and I love Kiss the Cowboy and a bonus for me is I love series books so cant wait for book two. All of your books have been wonderful to read.
