This book is a reflection of my life's journey and the encounters that I have faced along the way. As a child, I never imagined that my life would take such drastic turns unexpectedly, but I have learned that everything happens for a reason. I have come to accept that each experience, whether good or bad, has helped shape the person I am today.
Throughout my life, I have encountered many obstacles, from the cultural barriers I faced as a US immigrant to the personal struggles that come with failed relationships and losing the most precious person in my life, my dad. But through it all, I have remained true to myself and my values, and most importantly, I stayed loyal to God in all of the darkest moments. I never lost sight of what truly matters in life, and I believe that God blessed me with the strength and courage to deal with everything.
In this book, I have shared my story in the hopes that it will inspire others to overcome their own challenges and pursue their dreams. I hope to show that anything is possible if you have a strong faith in God, He has a plan for each of us, and we must trust Him wholeheartedly.
I am grateful for the opportunities that life has presented me with, and I look forward to what the future holds.
I have put my heart and soul into this book because this is what I have been dreaming about for a long time. I hope that my story will leave a positive impact on your life and inspire you to deal with the difficulties in life. Remember, with God's grace and glory; you can overcome anything and create a life that you are proud of.

About the Author

Born on March 18, 1984, raised in San Francisco Bay Area, and am known by my artist stage name Lady Ru. After having a very public marriage and splitting up from a legendary rapper, Lady Ru became a public figure for being on display for the world to see. Shortly after achieving a hit record with my very first single, I was publicly slandered by the man I married. Instead of falling apart, I rose like a phoenix for every woman or man who has ever been defamed and shamed.
Lady Ru has a story to tell about who she is and what she has overcome in life to be able to love herself enough and leave an abusive, toxic public relationship behind. Leaving everything and walking away with nothing but my good name and faith in GOD.
This book is inspired by many women and men who have reached out to Lady Ru, expressing how much of a positive impact she had been on them. From street life, drug addiction, abusive, neglect, body image disorder, and self-hate, Lady Ru learned through experience in life how to relate to people without passing judgment and how God's love allowed her to view herself in God's eyes. I pray this book serves its purpose as God has Intended. We are not alone. You can get up, you can live, and you can smile again when you have learned to love yourself as God loves you.
